SPITI in Greek means ‘house’, and SPITAKI means ‘little house’. When put together, they form a common Greek expression for ‘home sweet home’. So SPITI SPITAKI became the perfect name of our beautiful retreat on Tinos, consisting of a main house below and a separate little house on top.
SPITI SPITAKI is located in the traditional village of Dyo Choria, which in turn means ‘Two villages’ and is another Greek idiom – now for ‘quarrel’ or ‘separation’. Not to worry! Once you step into SPITI SPITAKI and let your gaze wander over the Aegean Sea, you’ll find that this is an expression you will never need to use.
